Parish of the Divine Compassion, Plaistow

The scheme involved the refurbishment of an existing church that consisted of a dilapidated timber hall and a WW2 bomb shelter, as well as the addition of a much needed community building and a small terrace of housing, all built around one shared courtyard. The church is now comprised of a blend of original features and new additions, providing a contemporary and dramatic worship space for the community.
